Does this replace a new roof?
No. The Toitium treatment extends the life of an existing roof that is still structurally sound. If your roof is at the end of its life or there’s damage, we’ll tell you during the inspection — and we won’t sell you a treatment that won’t hold.
How long is the warranty?
10 to 15 years depending on roof type and condition at the time of application. The warranty is written, transferable to the next owner, and includes an annual follow-up inspection.
How long does the work take?
A single day, including cleaning and application. We only work in good weather, so we confirm the date 24 to 48 hours in advance based on the forecast.
How much does it cost compared to a replacement?
On average, 60% to 80% less than a new roof. For a single-family home, often $4,000 to $7,000, versus $20,000+ for a full replacement. The exact price depends on size and initial condition.
Is the product safe for my family and the environment?
Yes. The treatment is water-based, free of aggressive solvents and harmful VOCs. Once dry (a few hours), it’s inert. It’s one of the reasons we picked it — it was unthinkable to apply something toxic above your home.
What kinds of roofs do you work on?
We focus on residential asphalt shingle roofs. That’s our specialty, and that’s all we do. The on-site inspection confirms your roof is a good fit before we start anything.
What happens if there’s a leak after application?
We come back, inspect, repair — at no cost during the entire warranty period. It’s written in the contract, not a verbal promise.
Do you cover the whole province?
Yes — Eastern Townships, Montérégie, Centre-du-Québec, Greater Montreal, Quebec City, Mauricie. For more remote regions, we batch jobs to keep it affordable. Just ask.
